The Calgary Police Pipe Band and Calgary Stampede Showband will both be performing in Portland during the “Concert in the Park,” part of the city’s annual Rose Festival.
Both bands will be part of a marching band extravaganza at PGE Park on June 6. Get the details here.

Stars on stamps
You don’t get to lick ‘em anymore, but you can still stick ‘em: Canada Post recently announced that four Canadian performers will be featured on postage stamps next year. Those to be honoured include Bryan Adams, Edith Butler, Robert Charlebois, and Stompin’ Tom Connors.
